BUYER'S BEWARE - PLEASE READ THIS VERY
IMPORTANT WARNING!!!
Recently we caught another Goldendoodle breeder that
advertises on Goldendoodles.com and on the Premium Breeders List
as one of their recommended breeders, this breeder took a
picture of one of our dogs by copying it off of our web site and
then cropping out the back ground from the picture and was using
it on their web site and saying it was one of their dogs. We
saved a copy of the forged picture if anyone wants to see it, we
can email it to them. This is not the first time we have caught
other breeders using our pictures and saying it was one of
their dogs. We contacted both Goldendoodles.com and the Premium
Breeders List and neither of them have removed this breeder from
advertising on their web sites. We ourselves advertise on the
Premium Breeders List, so hopefully we do not get removed from their web site for telling the public about what
happened. If we do, we will be sure to up date you right here. We contacted this breeder ourselves and
they
have removed our picture off of their web site.
We weren't planning on saying anything to the public, but now we
just caught another Goldendoodle breeder in San Diego, that has
taken most of the wording/dialog that is on our web site and has
copied it and is using it on their web site. We just emailed
them and asked them to make up their own information and dialog
and to remove what they have copied from us. They even copied
dialog we use on our own "About Us" page. This is not
the first time we have caught a breeder doing this either, we
caught a Golden Retriever breeder copying our dialog as
well. The San Diego Goldendoodle breeder will hopefully change
their dialog, since we have asked them to, but we have made
copies of their web site as it is right now, with all the info
they copied from us and we can fax it to anyone that wants to
read it.
So what I want to tell you people out there is buyer's beware,
do not trust web sites or recommended breeder lists, because
breeders are not always as they appear to be and neither are
their dogs and these recommended breeders lists can not check
their breeders out good enough, so please try to find a breeder
that is local to you, so you can go meet them in person and meet
the parent dogs and puppies and select your own puppy in person,
so you can see how and where they are raised, before giving the
breeder full payment. If you don't have a good breeder in your
state, then please fly out to a good breeder, it's worth it!
If you decide you want a puppy from us and can't fly out to meet
us, we do have professional dog trainers that recommend us
listed on our favorite links page. Some of them like Danielle
have been to our kennel/home. We do offer shipping to anywhere
in the US and Canada.
We
are a very popular kennel and our dogs are by far the best
looking around, so that is why other breeders try to copy from
us and use our pictures. Hopefully this warning will help you be
more careful and will deter other breeders from copying our
pictures and information without our permission.
UPDATE:
Since we wrote this the San Diego breeder took down what they
copied, however they called us to let us know this and they
blocked their number, so it would not show up on our caller ID.
They also do not list their email address, phone, address or any
contact info on their web site, this to me is VERY suspicious,
they only have a form you have to submit to them, so they can
contact you, they obviously have something to hide!
We have also been informed that other breeders are claiming
to have "Teddy Hilton" look a likes, Teddy Hilton was bred by
us, so do not fall for an imitation! One lady emailed us a
picture of a puppy, that the breeder told her would grow up to
look like Teddy Hilton, it looked NOTHING like Teddy Hilton
looked as a puppy, it wasn't even the same color or hair type!
Check out our celebrities page to see the REAL Teddy Hilton!
Other breeders do NOT have our bloodlines, so do NOT expect them
to reproduce what we have produced!
Southern Cal Kennels is
located in the city of Palmdale, which is just 1 hour
north of Los Angeles and 40 minutes north of the San Fernando
Valley.

California Sales Tax
If "possession" takes
place in the state of California, then we have to
charge California sales tax. If we are shipping or
delivering the puppy to you out of state, then there
is no sales tax.
Shipping
Shipping is an
additional $300. Shipping includes an airline
approved puppy size dog crate, attached food and
water dishes, freight charges and a health
certificate issued from a licensed veterinarian. We
also send the puppy with a toy that has the mother's
sent on it, a small bag of food taped to the crate
and water frozen in the attached water dish. We find
shipping to be very safe and will ship anywhere in
the US and Canada.
Microchips
We do not
microchip our puppies, because it has been
proven to cause
cancer and we know Golden Retriever owners that
have told us their dogs got cancer at the site
of the microchip. Please read the web site below
in regards to microchips and cancer. If your
puppy is lost, the only way anyone is going to
know it has a microchip is if the puppy ends up
in the dog pound and they "scan" it. So we
suggest an old fashion collar and dog tag or we
can tattoo your puppy.

About Microchips
Spay/Neuter
We do not
believe in spaying or neutering too young. The
optimum time to spay or neuter is between 6-9
months of age. Unfortunately in L.A. County you
are required to spay by 4 months.
We feel that the anesthetic risk
at such a young age is not worth taking. Puppies
don't maintain their blood sugar as efficiently
as grown dogs. Our vet also refuses to spay
a puppy under 4 months.
We also love the larger square
heads that our male Golden Retrievers have and
some breeders believe that the heads of males
neutered early, don't become as massive as they
would have without the neutering. It's also
common knowledge that when spayed or neutered
too young the pup will stay more immature it's
entire life!
All puppies will be sold on a
spay/neuter contract, so if you want to breed
your puppy later, then you will need to discuss
optional breeding rights with us prior to
purchase, breeding rights are only given to
approved buyer's and approved puppies, for
an additional fee.
This is a great article about spay and neuter,
written by Ed Frawley, breeder and one of the
all time best dog trainers:

Mini
Goldendoodle Info & Pictures
The Mini Goldendoodles pictured below are shown for examples only, they are
NOT for sale!
This section is still under construction,
more pictures and info will continue to be added to this page as
they are sent to us!
Below are some pictures our
clients have emailed to us of their F1 & F1B Miniature Goldendoodles,
that they got
from us!
Goldendoodle
hair gets quite long, so when you see them with shorter hair,
it's only because their owner has given them a haircut and some
owners will just cut the hair off around their eyes!
If the owner has told us their weight and height
or if they shed, then we have
included that information.
Height is measured from the floor to the
top of the back or top of the shoulder blades.
Even when a dog doesn't shed, hair will still
come out in the hair brush when you brush them!
What is the difference between an F1 and F1b
Mini Goldendoodle?
Golden Retriever x Mini or Toy Poodle = F1 Mini Goldendoodle
(50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle)
F1 Mini or Standard Goldendoodle x Mini or Toy Poodle = F1b Mini
Goldendoodle (25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle)
F1's might shed, some of them even shed a lot and some don't
shed at all, with an F1 the shedding is unpredictable and there
is no way to tell as a puppy if they will shed later or not, no
matter what a breeder might tell you! The F1b's should not
shed at all, we have not sold an F1b that sheds, at least not
that we know of. Both F1's and F1b's are good for people with
allergies, with the F1b's being better for people with moderate
to severe
allergies.
Our F1 and F1b Mini Goldendoodles look very
similar and act the same, except we do find F1b Mini
Goldendoodles to occasionally (not always) be shyer as puppies than F1 Mini Goldendoodles,
but they quickly grow out of their shyness. In this breed a male
or female make equally as good pets, we just suggest neutering
males by 6-9 months of age, so they don't lift their legs to pee
etc.
Our F1's do not have curly hair, they have straighter to
wavy hair, but with our F1b's we find we get a mix in each
litter. Some of the F1b's have hair just like the F1's straighter to
wavy and some have curlier hair, not as curly as a poodle, but
some are curlier than an F1. The faces on our F1b Mini Goldendoodles are still boxy, not poodley, but they are smaller
than the F1 Mini Goldendoodles, so of course their faces will be
smaller as well to match their body size. Our F1b Mini
Goldendoodles are smaller than our F1 Mini Goldendoodles, but
that might not be the case with other breeders, because when we
breed for F1b Mini Goldendoodles, we use a Mini Goldendoodle,
not a Standard Goldendoodle like some of the other breeders do.
So check with the breeder as to what sizes they produce, because
each breeder can have different sizes and still call them
minis, petite, medium etc.
How we breed: we do NOT use
Toy Poodles, because we find them to have poor dispositions.
In our opinion they are nervous, yappy, not good with small kids and they have
more health problems. But we find the Mini Poodles to be like the
Standard Poodles and feel they have wonderful dispositions and
are the healthiest of the Poodles. When we breed for F1b minis,
we use F1 Mini Goldendoodles and NOT the F1 Standard
Goldendoodles, so we get the "smaller sized" F1b minis. The
fathers are always the Poodle, because we find that the mom
being the Golden Retriever or Goldendoodle passes more of the
Golden Retriever traits on to their puppies.
You will find that
we have very boxy faces in the puppies we produce, they do not
look poodley! This is because we have superior show quality
breeding stock! Our minis are also mellow, you can even ask any of
our clients. We have heard other breeders saying minis are more
hyper than standards, but with our dogs we find that to be VERY
untrue! We breed calm dogs, our minis are calm, yet still
gently playful. I say "gently" playful, because I find them to
be gentle mouthed, much more gentle mouthed than a Golden
Retriever puppy. They love the water, love playing fetch, they love kids
and get along great with other pets, we have 2 birds and 2 cats!
They are fun and energetic, but not hyper by any means! So if a
breeder says minis are more hyper than standards, then I would
say that breeder either has poor quality breeding stock, or
they're trying to sell you a standard!
Due to their size, the minis even do well in apartments and
condo's. We're also
finding that the Mini Goldendoodles are turning out to be much
healthier than pure breed Golden Retrievers, Poodles and even
the Standard Goldendoodles! Smaller dogs are also proven to live
longer than larger dogs!
This statement was copied off of the Eukanuba dog food web site:
"small breeds can live up to an average of 50% longer than
larger dogs"
To date we have NOT had even one case that we know of, of hip
dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, heart problems or eye problems in
any of the Mini Goldendoodles we have bred!
That's why we prefer minis over standards for health reasons,
the minis have proven to be healthier!
Need more info not covered here, email us, we're happy to answer
your questions! We also have a "Breed Information" page on this
site!
Check out these great pictures our clients have sent to us
of their F1 and F1b Miniature Goldendoodles:

Adult F1b Miniature Goldendoodle, male, does not
shed.

"Molly" a young adult
F1b Miniature Goldendoodle, female, does not shed. She dunks her head to drink, so her mouth is wet. Her owner
Julie wrote this to me (see below), so I thought I would share it:
Hi there, just had to share a funny with you...I swear you would
think Molly
was a celebrity if you saw what happens every time I go out! I
just met a
friend today for lunch at the Century City out door mall and went to the pet food
store and I had
three people stop me and ask a million questions and where I got
her....seriously, it happens so much that my best friend (who I
was meeting for lunch) gives
up even trying to finish our conversations as we just keep
getting
interrupted....and today I had her out with Max and the two of
them together draw so many
oohs and ahhs, we just walk through the mall laughing the whole
time....she of
course looovvvess all the attention! I'm seriously
considering typing up a little bio on her on what kind of dog
she is, what is her
personality and where did I get her to carry in my purse to just
give to people
when they stop me, because everyone is always digging for a pen
and it takes me
forever to go anywhere....I of course love it and love sharing
info on her, but
I might just print up a friendly info card to hand people so I
can get from
point A point B! It's really funny to see...and I'm not
exaggerating, it's
every time we go out!
:)Julie Harris & Molly

F1 Miniature Goldendoodle, female, does not shed. This is Iris
Jr. and she is one of our own dogs, we kept her for ourselves. Spongebob
is her dad and our dark red color Golden Retriever named Iris is
her mom. She is not groomed in this picture and she just had
puppies, so she looks like a mess, she looks MUCH prettier when
she is all groomed up, but we wanted to show you her picture
anyway, so you could see what the dark red
color looks like. When she was a puppy she was dark red.

Adult F1b Miniature Goldendoodle, male, 18-19 inches tall, 26
pounds, does not shed.

Pictured above (3 pictures) is an adult female F1b Miniature

16 inches long. She does not shed.
